Today was a sick day for David. Yesterday when I picked him up at day care, his ear hurt, so we went to see the doctor this morning. The diagnosis -- the beginning stage of pink eye and an ear infection, which meant that we were quarantined for the day. So we made the best of the situation and got out the Valentine's Day gift a day early.
The original post was about Lessons from Baby David, so here they are. For a two-year-old, he can be a pretty quick learner and these are my observations. :-)
1. Sing when you're happy.
2. Be kind to everyone.
3. Learn to say you're sorry, please, and thank you.
4. Play hard and at the end of a busy day, enjoy a big rest.
5. If a pretty girl ignores the kiss you threw, move on. There are other cute girls to be nice to.
6. Read about Jesus every day.
7. Love and honor your Mommy (parents) and family.
8. You can never have too many Elmos.
9. Dream big - should I be a chef or veterinarian today?
10. The potty isn't nearly as exciting as people make it sound.
Happy Valentine's Day!
