Sorry, no picture this time -- David was sick, then I was sick and that combination doesn't make for good photos. But David is much better and he's been enjoying the bounty of candy and snacks from Valentine's Day. The past couple of weeks have been pretty interesting here. David's been practicing more words and his speech is becoming clearer. On Wednesday he counted with me to the number 12 -- he did need help with number 10. That was a little spooky -- a two year old who can already count to 12? So I asked him to do it again and the first time must have been beginner's luck! Whew! I was envisioning sending David to college as a pre-teen. (Think Doogie Houser!)
Earlier in the week, David asked for a horse. I replied in my best parent voice, "maybe some day," while thinking of my dad's answer when I asked the same question, "why would anyone want a fence tromping bad investment?" (Dad had first hand experience with horse ownership when he was a boy.) Maybe we should just look for a house in the country next door to the horse farm. :-)
