Day at the Zoo

David, Aunt Debbie, Katie and I spent yesterday morning at the zoo. It seemed like a good way to celebrate feeling better from cleft palate surgery almost two weeks ago. David is doing and acting better -- last night he slept the entire night, which was good for me too! For more than a week he's not slept more than a couple of hours at a time. Sunday involved a car ride to Gas City, then to Daleville and back to Muncie at 3:30 in the morning and he was still crying when I pulled into the garage at 6! He still cries when he eats -- I'm sure that a mouth full of sutures doesn't feel good, even when you're eating baby food. He's not wearing the arm bands in the picture -- I'm hoping he has NO memories from this experience and decided we shouldn't have any pictures either. David seems to be getting used to having them, although he can't feed himself and that's frustrating to him. (And when we go out in public, people ask if he fell down the stairs or out of bed, so I don't take him out too far either. People can be so rude!)
