Eleven Months Young

Today is the eleventh month birthday for David Brendan! He's learning and growing every day. The newest achievements include learning to use a fork (if you poke food first, then he will take the fork and put it in his mouth), can drink from a sippy cup (although he still likes the bottle), and can say "more" and hand back his plate for more food. Today he started saying hi to people we pass when we walk the dog. He's also figured out how to get snacks out of the holder cups -- instead of reaching your hand in, it's much more effective to hold down one of the sections and then tip the holder upside down. You can see from the photo, how much more he can get out using this technique. :-)

The last couple of days have been not so much fun -- I came down with a flu bug and fever on Thursday night, so my sister came and took David Brendan home with her for the day and evening. He had fun playing with Katie and their Grandma Jennings, and even got to tag along for a birthday party and ate cheese pizza! David Brendan had a flu shot in October, so I'm hoping he's protected from this -- at least there are no symptoms yet! He's doing fine from the immunizations he had on Thursday too.

More things David Brendan likes:
-Scrambled eggs and bacon
-Toast with cinnamon
-Steak, sweet potato fries and green beans
-Mango - yum!
-Oatmeal

Things he doesn't like:
-Ravioli with meat for toddlers - yuck!
-Sleeping in -- regardless of the time he falls asleep, wake up time is between 6:30 and 7 every morning. (We may not be linked genetically, but are alike in this aspect!)

  2. I'm glad you're an early morning-er. That makes it alot easier. What time of day are you two walking the dog? I'm now walking Chewey (Dennis has a stubborn foot ulcer), so that may be a good way to get a quick visit in. Nothing like multitasking!
